Then she meets Kennedy, a hunky firefighter whose killer smile and easy charm makes her heart pound. But with the kind of danger he faces on the job each day, Abby knows there’s no happily-ever-after in the cards. The harder she tries to hold onto her heart, the faster it seems to slip away, but when a series of mysterious events threaten the future of her business and her life, their happiness may be shorter-lived than she realized.
Someone is out to get her, and it’s up to Abby and Kennedy to uncover who’s behind the destruction. Can they do it before tragedy strikes?
4 sweet STARS!!!
If you’re looking for short, sweet, and a bit of mystery sprinkled in – this is your book! The characters were great, the banter between super with moments of humor, and the storyline kept me swiping pages until there were no more.
Abigail is terrific! She was someone I’d love to be friends with. A girl-next-door sort. I found her loyal, sweet, driven and funny! And an entrepreneur. Abigail owned a bakery – Sweetest Temptations. It’d been her dream.
” My business – my baby, my pride and joy – would be celebrating its grand opening today…”
When Kennedy walked into her bakery opening day, she was in awe of this immensely gorgeous man. She even hoped he’d come back. So when she found him again, she misinterprets the situation. I found that whole scene widely comedic!! I won’t go into detail with much more but as they begin a relationship, I felt satisfied. I felt that no matter the obstacle, they could climb it. Their relationship was fun, flirty, hot, and they were a complement to each other.
“Spending the last three days with you has been amazing. If I had the choice to go to work out shut out the world and stay in bed with you all day, I wouldn’t even have to think about it.”
I loved the uncanny coincidence of the ‘mystery’ that happens with Abigail’s shop and Kennedy’s occupation!! If I told you – you’d know what happens!! And this is a book you need to read and find out!!
